Seven researchers awarded with grant Internationalisation in the Humanities

NWO has awarded seven researchers with a Internationalisation in the Humanities grant for a total amount of € 300,000. The grant encourages international collaboration between research groups, research schools, research institutes and/or departments. The call closed March 2, 2015. A new funding round is held each year. The collaboration must be related to a single coherent research project. The research activities must fit within a programme for structural collaboration between two or more foreign institutions or research groups. The maximum duration of a project is three years.

The awarded researchers are:

• Prof. dr. W.W. (Wijnand) Mijnhardt, UU - Global Knowledge Society (GKS);

• Prof. dr. R. (Ruth) Oldenziel, TU/e - Cultural Politics of Sustainable Urban Mobility, 1890-Present (CPSUM);

• Dr. J.L. (Jeroen) Salman, UU - European dimensions of popular print culture (EDPOP);

• Dr. K.M.J. (Karène) Sanchez, UL - Engaging Europe in the Arab World: European missionaries and humanitarianism in the Middle East (1850-1970);
• Prof. dr. H.W. (Herman) Siemens, UL - Towards a political ontology of violence: reality, image and perception (TPOV);
• Dr. E.V. (Katja) Tolstaja, VU - Orthodox Kaleidoscope: Studying the Russian Orthodox Church. Heterogeneity, Complexity, Dynamics.
