NWO call for Top Sector Chemistry Student Competition 2018

NWO invites applications for the Top Sector Chemistry Student Competition 2018. Deadline for submitting applications is March 8, 2018. NWO Chemical Sciences organises this student competition, which is powered by the Top Sector Chemistry. Student teams from universities and universities of applied sciences may submit ideas for creative research projects, focusing on societal or industrial challenges.

The competition is open for chemistry students, but also for interdisciplinary teams with students in e.g. biology, physics, computer science, as long as the research question has a strong chemical component.

The budget available for the student projects in 2018 is approximately € 90,000. Up to nine students, in three or four student teams, will receive grants for a research project of two months. Financing is up to € 27,000 for a project for three students, and up to € 18,000 for a project for two students.
