NWO publishes M4S 2018 call for small innovative projects

The NWO domain Applied and Engineering Sciences (TTW) has published the M4S 2018 call for KIP (small innovative projects) proposals. Deadline for submitting applications is November 30, 2018. Researchers from universities and from universities for Applies Sciences (HBO-lectoren) can request funding of up to € 50,000. At least two different groups should be involved in one proposal. The budget available is € 350,000.

Maps4Society, a Collaboration Programme of NWO with a consortium of Rijkswaterstaat, Kadaster, Netherlands Space Office and NCG, focuses on the research areas Dynamic data and harmonisation; Managing Big Data; Data quality assessment, Satellites-as-a-service; Volunteered geographic information and Geo-information infrastructure governance; targeting the following application areas: Object life-cycle management; Water management; Deformation monitoring; Crisis management; and Smart cities / human environment.

 

In a first round six large projects and five small innovative projects have been selected for financing. This call is for KIPs leading to innovation and breakthroughs in the specified application areas. Proposals should either connect to one or more of the projects awarded in the first M4S call or fill one of the areas not yet covered.
