Aircraft interior innovation - Crystal Cabin Award 2014 (€ 3,000)

The Crystal Cabin Award Association invites applications for the Crystal Cabin Award 2014. Proposals can be submitted between 9 October and 12 November 2013. The award is designed to motivate companies and research facilities to develop new products and modern designs for aircraft cabin interiors. The development, manufacture and marketing of the innovative products or services must offer essential benefits in terms of usefulness to a potential customer, both to the final consumer as well as to the parts manufacturers. For the competition 2014 the participants compete in seven categories: Greener Cabin, Health, Safety & Environment; Industrial Design & Visionary Concepts; Material & Components; Passenger Comfort Hardware; Passenger Comfort Systems; Premium Class & VIP; University. The prize money is € 3,000 for each category.

Any corporation, scientist, university, institution or individual natural person related with civil aviation industry, or airports can participate in the 2014 Crystal Cabin Award. Applications from Airlines will also be welcome. Only matriculated students are allowed to apply for the category University.

The Crystal Cabin Award is the only international award for excellence in aircraft interior innovation, donated by the Senate of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. It is sponsored by Airbus, Aircraft Cabin Management, Aircraft Interiors Expo (Reed Exhibitions), Aircraft Interiors International Magazine, APEX, Bishop, DIEHL Aerosystems, FERCHAU AVIATION Division, Jetliner Cabins, SILVER ATENA, SGS Germany and ZODIAC AEROSPACE.
