Dutch Kidney Foundation - Kolff Program Social Sciences 2014 (€ 300,000)

The Dutch Kidney Foundation (Nierstichting Nederland) invites applications for its Kolff Program in the Social Sciences. Closing date for submitting proposals for Junior and Senior Postdoc Grants is June 8, 2014. PhD Postdoc Fellowships can be applied for the year through. The aim of the programme is the stimulation of the quality of the scientific personnel infrastructure of social science in the field of (prevention of) chronic kidney disease in the Netherlands by means of a program of personal grants that support all the phases of a research career. The program also aims at establishing stronger links between research and patient care and strengthening the bond between the Dutch Kidney Foundation (DKF) and the research community in the social science domain.

Kolff Grants in the Social Sciences are the following:

A Junior Postdoc Grant awards up to € 200,000. Support is provided for up to 3 years;
A Senior Postdoc Grant awards up to € 300,000. Support is provided for up to 4 years (general grant) or 6 years (clinical grant);
A PhD Postdoc Fellowship Abroad awards at most € 1,250 a month. Support is provided for at least 3 up to 6 months (for PhD students) and at least 3 up to 12 months (for postdocs).

The total budget for Junior and Senior Postdoc Kolff Grants is € 500,000, while the total budget for PhD and Postdoc Fellowships Abroad is € 20,000.
