Academy Merian Prize 2013 (€ 50,000)

The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) invites nominations for its Academy Merian Prize. Closing date for submissions is May 15, 2013. The biennial prize was established to draw attention to female researchers and to encourage more women in the Netherlands to pursue careers in science and scholarship. It is conferred on an outstanding female researcher working alternately in the social sciences or humanities and in science (bèta). In 2013 the prize will be awarded in the social sciences or humanities.

The Academy Merian Prize, which is made possible by the SNS REAAL Fund, consists of € 50,000, to be used to support research.
