164 incentives were granted during the first three calls IN2LifeSciences

Innovation is complex and expensive, and SMEs often experience difficulties in their innovation process. IN2LifeSciences provides 3 types of financial incentives that give SMEs transnational access to organizations with tools, expertise or resources. A total of 164 incentives were granted during the first three calls so far; 53 Collaboration, 29 Insight, 82 Meet & Greet. For more information and examples of successful cases please click here.

On February 1st the fourth and final call for incentives has opened. Life Sciences SMEs are invited to apply until May 4, 2014.

IN2LifeSciences gives SMEs in the health sector (biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical technology and nutrition for human and animal health) in 8 leading life sciences regions in North-West Europe easy access to a wide range of public and private experts and facilities. IN2LifeSciences is the follow-up of the successful FASILIS project. To stimulate actual contact and cooperation there are three types of incentives available for SMEs in the 8 IN2LifeSciences regions that are looking for innovation support:
• Meet & Greet incentives: for SMEs to travel and meet relevant organisations in other regions;
• Insight incentives: to exchange staff, receive training or contract experts to gather insight (on markets, technology, IPR, etc.);
• Collaboration incentives: for an actual collaboration on an innovative new product or service.
IN2LifeSciences is a project of the Noord-Brabant Development Agency (Netherlands), the East-Netherlands Development Agency, BioPeople in Denmark, Atlanpole Pays de la Loire (France), BiomeTI in Lower Saxony (Germany), CRITT Bretagne (France), BioRegio STERN in the Stuttgart region (Germany) and Interface Liège in Wallonia (Belgium).
