Diabetes - EFSD grants for 2018 (€ 500,000)
The European Foundation for the Study of Diabetes (EFSD) has published new funding opportunities, among others the EFSD European Research Programme on New Targets for Type 2 Diabetes and the EFSD and Novo Nordisk A/S Programme for Diabetes Research in Europe. Grants are up to € 500,000. EFSD offers support in all areas of diabetes research through a wide range of joint initiatives and stand-alone initiatives. Funding is available throughout the year.
The calls are the following:
- European Foundation for the Study of Diabetes (EFSD) European Research Programme on New Targets for Type 2 Diabetes: each up to € 100,000. Deadline of submission is December 1, 2017;
- EFSD-INTENSE Project: ImproviNg Treatment adhErence iN people with diabeteS mEllitus: one proposal of up to € 500,000. Deadline of submission is January 15, 2018;
- EFSD and Novo Nordisk A/S Programme for Diabetes Research in Europe: up to € 100,000 for basic research projects and € 400,000 for clinical research projects. Deadline of submission is February 1, 2018;
- EASD Rising Star Symposium and EFSD Rising Star Fellowship Programme: four fellowships of € 30,000 each. Deadline of submission is February 15, 2018;
- EFSD/Lilly Young Investigator Research Award Programme (Replaces the EFSD/Lilly Research Fellowship Programme): € 50,000 each. Deadline of submission is February 15, 2018;
- EFSD and Sanofi European Diabetes Research Programme in Macrovascular Complications: up to € 100,000 for basic projects and € 250,000 for clinical projects. Deadline of submission is March 15, 2018;
- EFSD and Sanofi European Pilot Research Grants for Innovative Measurement of Diabetes Outcomes: up to € 100,000. Deadline of submission is March 15, 2018;
- Albert Renold Travel Fellowships supported by Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD): Each Fellowship will be for up to € 8,000. Available throughout the year.
