Diabetes - new EFSD grant New Horizons Collaborative Research Initiative ( 100,000)

The European Foundation for the Study of Diabetes (EFSD) has published a new grant EFSD New Horizons Collaborative Research Initiative. Closing date for submission of applications is January 15, 2013. The grant is intended to direct support on a competitive basis to investigators working in institutions in the following countries and proposing to collaborate with an investigator from a European country not on this list: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, FYRo Macedonia, Moldavia, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Ukraine. Grants are up to € 100,000.

Other upcoming Request for Applications (RFAs) are: 
• EFSD Clinical Research Grant: 1 December 2012;
• Available throughout the year: Albert Renold Travel Fellowships supported by Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD);
• European Diabetes Research Programme in Patient Education supported by an educational grant from Astra Zeneca/Bristol-MyersSquibb: 15 January 2013;
