Young eScientist Award 2018 open for proposals

Young and ambitious researchers, trying to solve challenging research questions in their domain and using data-driven or compute-intensive methods, can apply for the Young eScientist Award, offered by the Netherlands eScience Center. Deadline for applications is September 16, 2018. The winner will, together with the eScience Center’s experts, formulate the novel idea into a full project proposal. The prize is worth € 50,000 of eScience expertise.

The Award consists of:

  • € 40,000 in kind provision of eScience Research Engineer support to undertake the project;
  • € 10,000 personal sponsorship for travel or consumables.

The prize will be awarded at the IEEE eScience Conference in Amsterdam on October 31, 2018.
