Indo Dutch Science Industry Collaboration call open

NWO invites applications for joint proposals in computer science from academic researchers and industrial partners for the call Indo Dutch Science Industry Collaboration. Deadline for submissions is October 31, 2013. Indo Dutch Science Industry Collaboration aims to encourage collaboration between research institutions and private partners in India and the Netherlands to strengthen demand-driven research and innovation. The substance of the research projects should be consistent with the research and innovation agenda ICT Roadmap. All projects should focus on a question formulated by one or more industrial partner or partners.

Applicants can apply for two type of grants:
• Preparatory grant: A maximum budget € 5,000 per application is available. The maximum budget is € 50,000;
• Research grant: grants are up to € 500,000. The consortium contributes in cash 50% of the total project expenses that cover academic research conducted in the Netherlands as well as in India. The total budget available is approximately € 4,000,000, consisting of circa € 2,000,000 from NWO funding and the matching € 2,000,000 from the involved industrial partners.
