Alzheimer's - Alzheimer's Research UK grants (£ 100,000)

The Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) asks for applications for different grant schemes. Deadline for submitting applications is 22 November, 2013.

Researchers can apply for:
• Equipment: between £ 10,000 and £ 100,000 for scientific equipment, flexibly defined. Joint funding applications for even larger pieces are accepted;
• Network Cooperation: between £ 5,000 and £ 100,000 for projects that will promote cooperation and collaboration between two or more ARUK Network Centres;
• Sabbatical/Secondment: enable established researchers to enrich their research programmes and develop collaborations. The award is worth a maximum of £ 50,000 for up to one year;
• Preparatory Clinical Research Fellowship: designed for clinicians who are planning a career in academic medicine. The Fellowships last one year during which the Fellows are expected to acquire the research skills and experience to apply for full Clinical Research Fellowships. The fellowships are to £10,000 per annum but ARUK will consider requests for up to £15,000 per annum if there is sufficient justification with inherently costly research.

ARUK is the UK’s leading dementia research charity specialising in finding preventions, causes, treatments and a cure for dementia. ARUK has a large number of different grant schemes through which researchers can apply for funding
