NIAS - Fellowships for Dutch scholars in the humanities and social sciences 2015/2016 (€ 3,800 p/m)

The Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences (NIAS) asks for applications for the Regular Fellowships. The closing date for applications for the year 2015/2016 for scholars from the Netherlands is 15 August 2014. Fellows are selected from prominent researchers and senior scholars in the humanities and social sciences who have already made a contribution to their field.

A NIAS Fellow affiliated with a Dutch university is entitled to a replacement subsidy for teaching duties. For an overview of all the facilities offered to a NIAS Fellow see Facilities for Fellows. The duration of a fellowship is in principle a full academic year, running from 1 September till 30 June, or for one semester, i.e. from 1 September to 31 January or 1 February to 30 June.

Preference is given to:
• applicants who propose an interdisciplinary project;
• a project that is closely related to an already externally funded project.
