Materials for Sustainability open for applications

NWO invites applications for the call Materials for Sustainability (M4S). Within the programme two application types exist, namely fundamental (F) and public-private partnerships (P). Deadline of submissions for both types is September 1, 2017. A total budget of € 9 million is available. Researchers at a Dutch university with a permanent position or on a tenure track may apply for funding for materials research focussed on renewable energy generation.

For type F projects with one academic partner, the typical size is € 350,000 and for projects with two academic partners funding is about € 700,000. Projects within type P have a typical size of about € 500,000 public funding. Larger project sizes are possible, but need to be motivated based on their necessity to effectively address a major challenge in the scope of the programme.
