Cancer - Yamagiwa-Yoshida Memorial international study grants 2017 ($ 10,000) new deadline

The Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) invites proposals for the Yamagiwa-Yoshida Memorial international study grants. The new deadline for applications this year is March 15. The grant provides an important opportunity to advance cancer research through international collaboration. It enables cancer investigators to carry out bilateral research projects abroad which exploit complementary materials or skills, including advanced training in experimental methods or special techniques.

The amount available for the grant, which remains the same, is $ 10,000. Its duration is three months and can be extended with another three months. Objectives of the YY grants are:

  • to initiate, set up or pursue bilateral cancer research projects with collaborating investigators abroad;
  • to exchange and exploit complementary skills and material;
  • to receive training in advanced experimental research methods and techniques.

The second deadline for receipt of proposals in 2017 is September 15. Notification of results will be given in June and December.
