IDFA Bertha Fund for documentary makers announces new deadlines

The IDFA Bertha Fund supports documentary filmmakers and festivals in developing countries. Its goal is to stimulate local film cultures and to turn the creative documentary into a truly global film art. The Fund has announced two new deadlines. The next submission dates are 15 May 2015 for IBF Classic and 1 February 2016 for IBF Europe.

Submitting for the IBF Classic is possible for filmmakers and festivals from developing countries. Documentary Projects can be submitted in two categories: Project Development or Production & Post-Production.

Submitting for the IBF Europe is possible for European co-producers of documentaries in developing countries.  This category is designed to support innovative distribution plans for documentaries realized through international co-productions that have received prior support of the IDFA Bertha Fund.
