Green Fund South Africa opens 3rd call for proposals

The 3rd Request for Proposals (RFP) aims to support the implementation of innovative and high impact green economy programmes and projects in South Africa. This RFP will focus on six priority sectors and will also give precedence to innovative
projects and programmes which could catalyse South Africa’s transition to a green economy. The 3rd RFP is a targeted call for high impact and innovative green economy projects or programmes which are at demonstration or implementation stage.

The 3rd RFP is open to proposals from public sector (national, provincial and local); private sector (including small and medium enterprises), and civil society organisations (NGOs, NPOs, universities and research institutions, CBOs). The Green Fund invites applications for the following six priority sectors:

Rural energy including mini-grid and off-grid; 
Biogas and biofuels;
Sustainable water management;
Sustainable human settlements, the built environment and green buildings;
Industrial cleaner production and consumption;
Ecosystem services.

Proposals must be submitted on-line. The on-line application system will be open till 12:00 pm (noon), 30 October 2014.
