New NICHE tender for Uganda published

Nuffic has published a new NICHE call for subsidy tenders for a project in Uganda. The closing date for applications is August 25, 2016. The budget of the call 'Strengthening education and training capacity in sexual reproductive health and rights programmes in Uganda” NICHE-UGA-288 is € 3,700,000.This NICHE project should strengthen a holistic understanding of sexual reproductive health and rights that clarifies how health indicators are shaped by cultural, social, and economic factors and addresses how reproductive health and well-being is inextricably linked to reproductive and sexual rights. SRHR in this holistic perspective encompasses especially non-clinical service delivery aspects such as customer care in SRHR service delivery, social awareness raising, behaviour change and advocacy of sexual reproductive rights. For more detailed information and documents please click here.
 
The Netherlands Initiative for Capacity development in Higher Education (NICHE) is a Netherlands-funded development cooperation programme aimed at sustainable strengthening of higher education and technical and vocation education and training (TVET) capacity in partner countries, thus contributing to economic development and poverty reduction. The programme focuses on the countries and policy priorities identified in the Dutch bilateral cooperation programme. In line with the current development policy of the Netherlands NICHE focuses on four policy priorities:

Water;
Food security;
Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR);
Security and the rule of Law.
