Venture Challenge Fall 2014 awarded to Innofuse

The winner of the Venture Challenge Fall 2014 and the € 25,000 prize money is Innofuse. The winning team was announced at the Dutch Life Sciences Conference in Nijmegen on November 19. Innofuse guarantees immediate and stable critical drug infusion in vulnerable preterm patients, as every drop counts. The Venture Challenge is one of the LifeSciences@work’s activities aimed at stimulating and supporting Life Sciences researchers in translating their inventions into viable business ideas.

According to the jury, consisting of established life sciences experts, Innofuse offers a simple yet excellent solution to a niche market with a great international potential. The young dedicated team, consisting of Brechtje Riphagen, Marijn Lardinois and Myra Vreede, is ready to take the next step in setting up their business.

The Venture Challenge is a ‘must-do’ opportunity for all aspiring Life Sciences entrepreneurs. In two 3-day workshops, the facilitators and other ‘competing’ teams will challenge you to focus your business idea to create optimal customer value, and you will learn to pitch your business case. At the end of the Challenge, the team with the best venture plan and pitch is awarded € 25,000. The first Venture Challenge was held in fall 2008. The submission deadline for the 2014 Fall edition was September 12 this year.
