Partnership NWO TTW - Holland Innovative Potato open for proposals

The NWO Domain TTW and Holland Innovative Potato (HIP) invite researchers from (technical) universities and institutes to submit applications for their partnership call. Deadline for submitting proposals is January 11, 2018. The total budget available € 2.85 million. Funding is up to € 1,150,000. The maximum duration of the programme is five years.

The objective of this Partnership programme is come to a thorough understanding of agronomy to increase the economic yield, quality and stability (higher average, less variance) as a function of the most important management factors in potato culture. Secondly, this partnership aims to provide insight in the genetics related to stable economic yield and quality. Researchers are invited to submit a dedicated research proposal aligned with the scope of the programme that provide answers to the scientific and technological challenges in application areas of potato breeding and processing.

The research has to fit within the roadmaps of the Top Sector Agriculture and Food. Not eligible for this Partnership programme are proposals covering research topics which create a conflict of interest with one of the participants as a result of affiliations with competitors of the H.I.P. companies. Large field trials and research on phytopathology is not eligible for funding in this Partnership programme.
