Japan - Canon Foundation Research Fellowships (€ 27,500)

The Canon Foundation in Europe (Canon) is looking for candidates for its Research Fellowships. The deadline for applications is September 15, 2013. Annually, Canon grants up to 15 Fellowships to highly qualified European and Japanese researchers. The European Fellowship holders pursue a period of research in Japan whereas the Japanese Fellows do their research at host institutions in Europe. The financial support ranges from € 22,500 to € 27,500 per year and pro-rata for different periods. The Fellowships are awarded for periods of minimum three months and maximum one year. Researchers from all disciplines as well as members of commercial, industrial, governmental or professional organisations may apply.

The objective of the Canon Foundation in Europe is the promotion of science, culture, know-how and mutual understanding between Europe and Japan. This aim should be reached by annually providing up to 15 Canon Foundation Research Fellowships to postgraduate students and researchers. Europeans receive the Fellowship for long term periods of research in Japan and, similarly, Japanese to undertake research in Europe.
