Behavioural and Social Sciences - Hendrik Muller Prize 2017 (€ 25,000)

The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) invites nominations for the Dr Hendrik Muller Prize for Behavioural and Social Sciences. Deadline for submissions is May 15, 2017. The prize of € 25,000, is awarded every other year to a researcher or a group of researchers who has made a significant or valuable contribution to the behavioural and social sciences. The prize was established in 1990 and is awarded and funded by the Dr Hendrik Muller's Vaderlandsch Fonds Foundation.

The prize is meant for individual researchers or a group of researchers who are either Dutch or working in the Netherlands and active in the behavioural and social sciences, or foreign researchers in the behavioural and social sciences whose work focuses on the Netherlands.

The foundation is named after Hendrik Pieter Nicolaas Muller (1859-1941), a Dutch businessman and diplomat. After a successful business career in Rotterdam, Dr Muller served as a diplomatic representative to Romania (1919-1924) and former Czechoslovakia (1924-1932).
