Fifth joint JPI Antimicrobial resistance call open for proposals

The Joint Programming Initiative Antimicrobial resistance launched the fifth Joint Call on prevention, control and intervention strategies for AMR infections. The deadline for submitting pre-proposals is March 21, 2017. ZonMw participates for the Netherlands with an anticipated budget of € 1,000,000. Funding of ZonMw is between € 300,000 and € 500,000.

The total fund for the fifth joint call is approximately € 12.8 million (for all participating countries). Applications are invited from collaborative consortia of researchers from participating countries. Other participating countries besides the Netherlands are Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Romania, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

 

Controlled integrated studies between human population, health care systems, and agricultural settings, multiple sectors are urgently needed to devise the optimal intervention strategies across diverse cultural settings and heterogeneous systems of human health and animal health and food production. Only multinational projects will be funded. Each proposal must involve a minimum of three countries participating in this call and a maximum of six project participants with maximum of one or two participants from each country.
