Sciences and Arts - The Wolf Prizes 2016 ($ 100,000)

The Wolf Foundation invites nominations for The Wolf Prizes. Deadline for submitting nominees is August 31, 2015. For 2016 the prize in the arts is in the field of architecture. The prize in the sciences is in one of the following fields: agriculture, chemistry, medicine or physics. The prize in mathematics will not be awarded in 2015. The prize in each field consists of a monetary award of $ 100,000 and a certificate.

Since 1978, five or six prizes have been awarded annually in the sciences. Prize fields comprise: agriculture, chemistry, mathematics, medicine and physics. In the arts, the prize rotates annually among architecture, music, painting and sculpture.

The aims of the Wolf Foundation are:
• to award prizes to outstanding scientists and artists - irrespective of nationality, race, color, religion, sex or political views - for achievements in the interest of mankind and friendly relations among peoples;
• to award scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students, and grants to scientists engaged in research at Israeli institutions of higher education.
