European Synchrotron Radiation Facility - Applying for beam time 2016

The European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) offers universities and industrial firms the possibility to apply for beam time. The upcoming deadline to submit proposals is September 10, 2015 for beam time from March 2016 to July 2016. For Long-Term Project (LTP) applications can be submitted once a year with a fixed deadline of 15 January. Requests for beam time are based on shifts of 8 hours. Allocations of beam time will usually be made in multiples of 3 shifts. Two proposal review rounds are held each year.

ESRF is the most powerful synchrotron radiation source in Europe. Each year several thousand researchers travel to Grenoble, where they work in a first-class scientific environment to conduct exciting experiments at the cutting edge of modern science.
