Multiple sclerosis - NMSS Postdoctoral Fellowships 2015

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society invites applications for its Postdoctoral Fellowships. Deadline for applications is August 12, 2015. The Society seeks to attract and train promising young investigators and doctors into the field of MS by supporting the training of postdoctoral fellows in studies related to MS. The Society supports fundamental as well as applied studies, non-clinical or clinical in nature, including projects in patient management, care and rehabilitation.

The fellowships are offered to unusually promising recipients of M.D., Ph.D. or equivalent degrees. The program of training to be supported by the grant should enhance the likelihood that the trainee will perform meaningful and independent research relevant to MS in the future, and obtain a suitable position which will enable them to do so. Fellowship support will not be provided for more than three years.

The amount of the salary must relate to the applicant's professional status and previous training and experience. Less than 1 year: $ 44,100 - 7 years or more: $ 58,036. Additional funds are available to cover the cost of travel and to help institutions defray the costs of providing the fellow's training.
