Diabetes - New funding opportunity EFSD

The European Foundation for the Study of Diabetes (EFSD) has published a new funding opportunity: the EFSD and Japan Diabetes Society (JDS) Reciprocal Travel Research Fellowship Programme. Deadline for submitting applications is July 1, 2018. Up to four fellowships will be awarded, each in the sum of up to € 50,000 for applicants from Europe or ¥ 5 million for applicants from Japan.

Other upcoming calls are:

• European Foundation for the Study of Diabetes (EFSD) Future Leaders Mentorship Programme for Clinical Diabetologists: $ 25,000 per annum. Deadline of submission is April 28, 2018;
• EFSD/JDRF/Lilly European Programme in Type 1 Diabetes Research: up to € 100,000 and in some cases up to € 400,000 particularly for clinical projects. Deadline of submission is July 1, 2018;
• Albert Renold Travel Fellowships supported by Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD): Each Fellowship will be for up to € 8,000. Upcoming deadlines are July 15 and October 15.

EFSD offers support in all areas of diabetes research through a wide range of joint initiatives and stand-alone initiatives. Funding is available throughout the year.
