ERA-net Cofund on Sustainable Crop Production open for applications

The Joint Programming Initiative on Agriculture, Food Security and Climate Change (FACCE-JPI) invites applications for the joint call SusCrop - Sustainable Crop Production. Deadline for submitting preliminary proposals is April 4, 2018. NWO participates for the Netherlands with a budget of € 1 million. Funding is up to 250,000 consisting of up to € 220,095 for personnel (post-doc/senior researcher) and up to € 50,000 for materials.

Associate, assistant and full professors or researchers with a comparable position who hold an appointment at a Dutch university or a research institute recognised by NWO may apply. For this specific call, this includes TO2 and HBO institutes. These institutes may request funding for a medior researcher (cf. post-doc salary scale 11 BBRA, maximum tariff is € 79 /hr) or HBO lecturer (cf. salary scale 10 BBRA, maximum tariff is € 72 /hr).

 

The Joint Programming Initiative on Agriculture, Food Security and Climate Change (FACCE-JPI) brings together 23 countries who are committed to building an integrated European Research Area addressing the interconnected challenges of sustainable agriculture, food security and impacts of climate change. FACCE-JPI provides and steers research to support sustainable agricultural production and economic growth, to contribute to a European bio-based economy, while maintaining and restoring ecosystem services under current and future climate change.

 

FACCE-JPI regularly organises calls for proposals for pan-European research projects. The current call is organised as part of the ERA-net Cofund SusCrop is aimed at the improvement of sustainability and resilience of crop production.

 

The deadline for submitting a full proposal is August 31, 2018.
