164 submissions for Enabling Technologies Hotels

Within the programme Enabling Technologies Hotels, ZonMw received for the fourth call 164 project proposals. This is more than three times as many as in the previous call. The fourth call closed on August 29, 2017. The list of awarded projects will probably be announced mid-December this year. ZonMw and NWO are discussing the possibility to have a follow-up of Enabling Technologies Hotels in 2018 or 2019.

The goal of the Enabling Technologies Hotels call is to stimulate active collaboration between researchers with and without access to high-end technologies. ZonMw and NWO have made funds available for the programme, which contributes to the aims of the Topsectors Life Sciences and Health (LSH), Agri & Food and Horticulture & Starting Materials. The Technology Hotel concept entails that researchers who do not have access to high-end technologies (the guests), can obtain access to these technologies and the connected expertise and infrastructure via a service-oriented facility (the Hotel) with the ambition of realising active follow-up collaboration.
