European Investment Bank University Research Sponsorship: New call 2014/2015

The European Investment Bank (EIB) has published a new call for its University Research Sponsorship Programme (EIBURS). The closing date to submit a proposal is September 30, 2014. EIBURS provides grants to University Research Centres working on research topics and themes of major interest to the EIB. For the academic year 2014/2015, the programme has selected three new lines of research. The EIB provides sponsorships of up to € 100,000 per year for a period of three years.

For the academic year 2014/2015, these three programme have been selected as new lines of research:

Economic analysis of energy efficiency (EE) investments;
Demographic change in the EU, the oldest-old and the need for innovative models of more efficient elderly care;
Impact of microfinance on financial and social inclusion in Europe.

Sponsorships are awarded to interested university departments or research centres, associated with universities in EU, candidate countries or potential candidate countries, with recognised expertise in EIB-selected areas, so they can expand their activities in these areas.
