Internationale Stichting Alzheimer grants 2014 (€ 150,000)

The Internationale Stichting Alzheimer invites applications for its grants. Deadline of sumitting Letters of Intent is March 10, 2014. There are four types of grants:
• Major Award: up to a maximum of € 150,000 for three years divided over a maximum of € 50,000 per year;
• Standard Award: up to a maximum of € 100,000;
• Pilot Awards: € 50,000, with a maximum of € 25,000 per year for two years;
• Dutch-French Border-Crossing Standard Awards: € 100,000.

The Internationale Stichting Alzheimer Onderzoek (ISAO) awards grants for fundamental research into the underlying mechanisms of, and possible therapeutic treatments for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias. The main criterion for the evaluation of the application is whether the proposed research is likely to improve our understanding of the pathophysiology and underlying mechanisms causing Alzheimer's disease and/or is likely to effectively promote therapeutic strategies. ISAO primarily supports basic, academic research but also welcomes new and challenging ideas and innovative and original approaches.
