2012-11-17 The Second International Fluid Academy Day will take place on 17 November 2012 in Antwerp, Belgium.
Fluid therapy consists in the administration of fluids to patients as a treatment or preventative measure. It can be administered through intravenous, intraperitoneal, intraosseous, subcutaneous and oral routes. With the community making a shift from looking at fluids as a mere method of stabilization to the appreciation of its relevant side effects, this therapy has become increasingly common.
The conference will be a forum for specialists such as intensivists, anesthaesiologists, emergency physicians, internists and burn care specialists to discuss the questions still surrounding the field of fluid therapy.
