Dutch Kidney Foundation - Call for Consortium Grants
The Dutch Kidney Foundation (DKF, Nierstichting Nederland) invites applications for its Consortium Grant. Deadline for submitting proposals is March 15, 2018. Aim is to fund research consortia in order to stimulate the internal cohesion and collaboration within the Dutch renal research field, and to enhance the international weight and quality of Dutch renal research and to initiate more translation and application of renal research. The budget available is up to € 1,250,000 for one project.
In 2017 DKF made some changes in the conditions. A consortium whose proposal is accepted for full application has to start a collaboration with the Dutch Kidney Patient Association (Nierpatiëntenvereniging Nederland) aiming to involve patients during the set-up of the project. Furthermore, the participation of one or two research teams based at an institute outside the Netherlands is now allowed.
A consortium is a collaboration of at least three research teams from at least two different UMCs or research institutes. The grant is co-funded in cash or in kind by the participating (UMCs or research institutes. It can also be co-funded by other organisations and companies, in which case there are no (potential) conflicts between the conditions and requirements of the consortium grant, and the conditions and requirements of the co-funder(s). Co-funding should be unconditional with respect to intellectual property rights and publication of results.
The deadline for submitting a full proposal is September 1, 2018.
