Cognitive mechanisms - Fondation Fyssen International Prize 2018 (€ 60,000)

The Fyssen Foundation invites nominees for its International Prize. The deadline for reception of nominations is November 16, 2018. Worth € 60,000, the International Prize is awarded every year to a scientist who has conducted distinguished research in the areas supported by the Foundation such as ethology, paleontology, archaeology, anthropology, psychology, epistemology, logic and the neurosciences. The topic for this year's Prize is Architecture of Neural circuits: from synapses to cognition.

The aim of Fyssen Foundation is to "encourage all forms of scientific inquiry into cognitive mechanisms, including thought and reasoning, which underlie animal and human behaviour; their biological and cultural bases, and phylogenetic and ontogenetic development".
