Projects receive € 3.7 million in NWO Food, Cognition and Behaviour

NWO has funded € 3.7 million to five projects in the programme Food, Cognition and Behaviour. The funding instrument is intended for research into interactions between nutrition and humans: about healthy choices and healthy eating behaviour, and about the effects of nutrition on cognitive health. The call is a joint initiative of the National Initiative Brain & Cognition (NIHC), the Medical Sciences division (ZonMw), the Earth and Life Sciences division (ALW) and the Social Sciences division (MaGW).

The five projects have a duration of 18 months to five years and range from € 0.2 to € 1.5 million per project. Within the projects scientists from research institutes work together with private partners from the food industry. The partners outside the finance half of the science research.

The call closed March 6, 2013. Click here for a full list of the awarded projects.
