NIAS - Fellowships for Dutch scholars in the humanities and social sciences 2014/2015 (€ 3,800 p/m)

The Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences (NIAS) asks for applications for the Regular Fellowships. The closing date for applications in the year NIAS fellowships in the year 2014/2015 for scholars from the Netherlands is 15 August 2013.

Fellows are selected from prominent researchers and senior scholars in the humanities and social sciences who have already made a contribution to their field. In the year 2014/2015 NIAS specially welcomes projects that are related to the following topics:
• Cultural Heritage and Computational Humanities;
• Brain and Cognition;
• Global Society and Identity.

A NIAS Fellow affiliated with a Dutch university is entitled to a replacement subsidy for teaching duties. For an overview of all the facilities offered to a NIAS Fellow see Facilities for Fellows. The duration of a fellowship is in principle a full academic year, running from 1 September till 30 June, or for one semester, i.e. from 1 September to 31 January or 1 February to 30 June.
