Epilepsy - AES Research Infrastructure Awards 2013 ($ 50,000)

The American Epilepsy Society (AES) invites proposals for its Research Infrastructure Awards. Deadline of submissions is August 19, 2013. The AES and the Epilepsy Foundation are partnering to provide an opportunity for scientists to obtain support for nationwide or international networks of clinical or basic science researchers focused on understanding the causes, consequences and treatment of epilepsy. Awards are anticipated to be up to $ 50,000 per year. A one year no-cost extension may be requested with justification. A second year of funding can be requested via a progress report and competitive renewal application after the first year is completed.

The AES seeks to promote interdisciplinary communications, scientific investigation and exchange of clinical information about epilepsy. Membership consists of clinicians, scientists investigating basic and clinical aspects of epilepsy, and other professionals interested in seizure disorders. Members represent both pediatric and adult aspects of epilepsy.
