INTERREG NWE Targeted call on renewable energy in 2018

In 2018 the NWE Programme will launch a targeted call to support projects that contribute to increasing the share of renewable energy supply and demand in North-West Europe. The call for proposals is organised according to a one-step procedure and had a budget of € 50 million. The maximum EU grant rate for partners is 60% of the total project budget. The partnership will need to provide the remainder.

For project activities, NWE is particularly looking for projects that deal with demonstration, implementation and roll-out, and contribute to one of the Specific Objectives of Priority 2: Low carbon. Interreg NWE targets applicants from all or parts of eight participating countries. Projects should bring together partners from at least three different countries of which two must be from within the NWE area. A wide range of bodies are entitled to take part in NWE project partnerships including national, regional and local authorities, universities, R&D agencies, non-profit organisations as well as private partners, including profit-making partners (e.g. SMEs). 

The call opens on 24 January 2018. Applications must be submitted by 31 July 2018. Once applicants start defining their project intervention logic, they should contact their contact point for support with the development of their project idea. For more detailed information please click here.
