EIC Horizon prize 'European Low-Cost Space Launch' published

The EC has published a new EIC Horizon Prize for 'European Low-Cost Space Launch'. The prize with identifier Space-EICPrize-2019 aims to develop a solution for launching satellites into low-orbit at a low-cost.. Deadline of submissions is June 1, 2021. The budget available is € 10 million, of which one prize will be awarded.

The challenge of this IPr Inducement prize is to develop a European technologically non-dependent solution for launching light satellites into Low-Earth Orbit (LEO), which will enable dedicated low-cost launches with committed schedule and orbit.

The contest is open to any legal entity (including natural or legal persons, including international organisations) or group of legal entities established in an EU Member State or in a country associated to Horizon 2020. Participants that have already received an EU or Euratom prize cannot receive a second prize for the same activities.
