Huntington - Hereditary Disease Foundation research grant 2013 ($ 50,000)

The Hereditary Disease Foundation (HDF) asks for applications for its Research Grants. The closing date to submit a Letter of Intent is August 1, 2013. Support will be for research projects that will contribute to identifying and understanding the basic defect in Huntington's disease. Areas of interest include trinucleotide expansions, animal models, gene therapy, neurobiology and development of the basal ganglia, cell survival and death, and intercellular signaling in striatal neurons.Awards are up to $ 50,000.

The Hereditary Disease Foundation offers opportunities for direct funding of research aimed at understanding the molecular and cellular defects in Huntington’s disease, with a focus on identifying targets for potential HD therapies.
