Samsung Global Research Outreach - research grants 2014 ($ 300,000)

Samsung Advanced Institute for Technology (SAIT) invites proposals for its Global Research Outreach program (GRO). GRO is Samsung's annual call for proposals for novel research ideas in SAIT's research fields. Deadline for submissions is June 13, 2014. Awards range from $ 70,000 to $ 100,000 and may be renewed up to three years. World-class university researchers are invited to apply.

The 2014 GRO Program is seeking proposals in 12 research themes. Within these 12 themes, there are 40 special interest subjects for this year. However other subjects are also welcome.

The research themes are:

• Machine Learning & Recognition;
• Next Generation Computing;
• Next Generation Web;
• Big Data & Network;
• Security;
• Functional Material;
• OLED Material;
• Next Generation Battery;
• Energy Harvesting;
• Design & Service.
