Three new calls for proposals 'People Marie Curie Actions' 2013 (FP7)

The European Commission has announced three new calls for proposals under the 2013 work programme 'People' of the Seventh EC Framework Programme for Research, Technological Development and Demonstration Activities. The calls are the following:

• Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowships for Career Development (IEF) - FP7-PEOPLE-2013-IEF;
• Marie Curie International Incoming Fellowships (IIF) - FP7-PEOPLE-2013-IIF;
• Marie Curie International Outgoing Fellowships for Career Development (IOF) - FP7-PEOPLE-2013-IOF.

Information on the modalities of the calls, the work programmes, and the guidance for applicants on how to submit proposals will be soon available through the European Commission website.

The 'People' programme offers individuals the opportunity to follow a career in research. European researchers should be encouraged to stay in Europe whilst at the same time the best researchers in the world should be attracted by European research excellence and infrastructures. Building on the positive experiences with the 'Marie Curie Actions', the 'People programme should encourage individuals to enter the profession of researcher; structure their research training by offering options; and, encourage mobility within the same sector. The mobility of researchers is not only key to the career development of researchers but also vital to the sharing and transfer of knowledge between countries and sectors
