NWO call Science Industry Cooperation The Netherlands - China

NWO invites applications for the Science Industry Cooperation The Netherlands - China (Hé Programme). Deadline for submission of applications is May 2, 2013. The Hé Programme aims at realizing Sino-Dutch research projects, where academic and industrial researchers in both countries collaborate. Within The Netherlands, the research themes to be addressed have to fit the ICT Roadmap of the Topsector High Tech Systems and Materials (HTSM) or the Chemistry Innovation Contract of the Topsector Chemistry. The priorities are LED, Semiconductors, Sustainable new materials, Quality of health care and Production and safety of food.

Senior researchers at academic institutions can apply for joint Sino-Dutch science industry research and innovation projects. At least four parties participate in a project: one Chinese industry partner; one Dutch industry partner; a Chinese academic research institution; and a Dutch academic research institution. The maximum budget for the 2013 call is € 2 million. Companies and NWO each pay half of the budget in cash. The minimum contribution from industry is € 250,000, the maximum € 500,000. Private contributions in excess of € 500,000 are welcome but shall not be eligible for matching by governmental subsidy. For SME's the minimum contribution is € 80,000.
