NWO-MVI funding opportunities in 2018 and 2019
The NWO Platform voor Maatschappelijk verantwoord innoveren announces new funding opportunities for NWO Responsible Innovation (MVI) research for 2018 and 2019. In the forthcoming period the possibilities for MVI research mainly lie within specific research programmes/initiatives within the top sectors. The underlying reasons are that the importance of MVI is increasingly recognised and there is a growing demand to link responsible innovation research to NWO research programmes/initiatives.Â
In 2018 and 2019 NWO-MVI is specifically linked to the following six initiatives:
- Sustainable Living Labs, phase II – top sector Logistics: publication call in July 2018;
- Electrochemical Conversion & Materials (ECCM) – top sectors Chemistry and Energy, publication call expected in the fall of 2018;
- Blockchain – top sector ICT, publication call expected in September 2018;
- Value from Biomass – top sectors Chemistry and Energy, publication call expected in the fall of 2018;
- HTSM-call 2019 – top sector High Tech Systems & Materials, publication call expected in the spring of 2019;
- Innovative Medical Devices Initiative (IMDI) 2.0 – top sectors Life Sciences & Health and HTSM, publication call expected late 2018/early 2019.
Furthermore there are also opportunities for MVI research with the NWO cross-over call of the combined top sectors, the Dutch National Research Agenda (NWA) and a call on cybersecurity which will be expected this fall.
In view of the interdisciplinary collaboration between humanities, natural sciences and social sciences researchers, NWO will organise matchmaking events. More information about the publication of a call or a relevant meeting, will released through the MVI newsletter and the MVI webportal.
