Dutch Kidney Foundation publishes four calls

The Dutch Kidney Foundation (DKF) invites applications for four calls: for the Innovation Grant, the PhD Student Grant, the Behavioural and Social Research Grant and for the Kolff programme. Deadline for submissions for the Innovation Grant and the PhD Student Grant is February 1, 2018. For the Behavioural and Social Research Grant applications can be submitted until March 27, 2018 and for the Kolff programme until April 24, 2018.

The aim of the Innovation Grant is the stimulation of innovation in renal research, diagnosis, prevention, therapies and patient care through the support of innovative biomedical, behavioural and social research projects. The budget available for the 2018 call is € 600,000. Funding is up to € 100,000 for a period up to 2 years. Biomedical, behavioural and social researchers interested in advancing the renal field and working at a research institute in the Netherlands may apply.

 

Aim of the PhD Student Grant is to stimulation of renal research, diagnosis, prevention, therapies and patient care through the support of PhD Student Grants for biomedical, behavioural and social research projects. € 750,000 is available for the 2018 call. A PhD Student Grant awards up to € 260,000 for a research period of 3 up to 4 years. Pre-proposals can be submitted by biomedical, behavioural and social researchers interested in advancing the renal field and working at a research institute in the Netherlands.

 

The Behavioural and Social Research grant aims to stimulate behavioural science and social science in the field of chronic kidney disease and the prevention of chronic kidney disease in the Netherlands. For this call a budget of € 500,000 is available. Researchers are invited to submit a pre-proposal for a relatively large (up to € 260,000) or smaller (e.g. € 100,000) project. Behavioural or social scientists working at a research institute in the Netherlands may apply.

 

The Kolff Program of the Dutch Kidney Foundation aims to support talented kidney researchers by means of personal grants. Kolff grant recipients are foreseen to make important contributions to nephrology and the field of renal research in the Netherlands in the future. The total budget available is € 1,250,000. DKF selects at most ten pre-proposals for submitting a full proposal. Talented biomedical researchers interested in renal research and advancing the renal field may apply. The applicant must be working at a research institute in the Netherlands.
