Call Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions - Innovative Training Networks (ITN) 2018
The European Commission has published a new call for Innovative Training Networks (ITN) of the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), part of the Horizon 2020 programme. Deadline of submissions is January 17, 2018. The call with identifier H2020-MSCA-ITN-2017 has a budget of € 442 million. Partnerships take the form of collaborative European Training Networks (€ 375 million), European Industrial Doctorates (€ 32 million) or European Joint Doctorates (€ 35 million).
The ITN aim to train a new generation of creative, entrepreneurial and innovative early-stage researchers, able to face current and future challenges and to convert knowledge and ideas into products and services for economic and social benefit. ITN will raise excellence and structure research and doctoral training in Europe, extending the traditional academic research training setting, incorporating elements of Open Science and equipping researchers with the right combination of research-related and transferable competences. It will provide enhanced career perspectives in both the academic and non-academic sectors through international, interdisciplinary and intersectoral mobility combined with an innovation-oriented mind-set. ITN supports competitively selected joint research training and/or doctoral programmes, implemented by partnerships of universities, research institutions, research infrastructures, businesses, SMEs, and other socio-economic actors from different countries across Europe and beyond.
Grants can cover:
- recruitment and training of each researcher for up to three years. The researcher is hired under an employment contract and benefits from a monthly living allowance, social security cover, a mobility and family allowance;
- research costs including the organisation of joint activities and conferences;
- management and overhead costs;
- At the level of the organisation, the maximum duration of an ITN project is four years.
