Sciences and Arts - The Wolf Prizes 2014 ($ 100,000)

The Wolf Foundation is looking for candidates for The Wolf Prizes. Deadline to submit nominations is October 1, 2013. The five or six prizes have been awarded annually in the sciences. Prize fields comprise: agriculture, chemistry, mathematics, medicine and physics. In the arts, the prize rotates annually among architecture, music, painting and sculpture. The prize in each field consists of a monetary award of $ 100,000 and a certificate.

For 2014 the prize in the arts is in the field of Sculpture/Painting. The prize in the sciences is in one of the following fields: agriculture, chemistry, mathematics or medicine.

The aims of the Wolf Foundation are:
• to award prizes to outstanding scientists and artists--irrespective of nationality, race, color, religion, sex or political views--for achievements in the interest of mankind and friendly relations among peoples;
• to award scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students, and grants to scientists engaged in research at Israeli institutions of higher education.
