Contest EIT ICT Labs Idea Challenge open

European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) ICT Labs organizes the EIT ICT Labs Idea Challenge, a pan-European innovation contest in eight thematic fields aiming to reach out, identify and support the best digital startups in Europe, that are focused on fast growth of their business in Europe and worldwide. Deadline for submitting apllications is is July 7, 2015. The winner of the contest receives a cash prize of € 40,000, number two wins € 25,000 en the third winner € 15,000. Furthermore the winners receive access to EIT ICT Labs' pan-European innovation network with more than 130 partners, international growth support through the EIT ICT Labs Business Development Accelerator, the possibility to use EIT ICT Labs’ Co-Location Centres and marketing support.

Entrants are invited to submit a short outline of their business idea to be evaluated by a panel of experts. Based on the evaluation up to ten teams per topic shall be invited to pitch their idea in front of a jury. A jury comprised of the expert evaluators and representatives of the EIT ICT Labs and its partners shall then select three winning teams.

Applications can be submitted in the following eight topics:
• Health & Wellbeing;
• Cyber-Physical Systems;
• Smart Spaces;
• Future Cloud;
• Cyber Security and Privacy;
• Internet Of Things;
• Urban Life and Mobility;
• Smart Energy Systems.
