Biomedical fellowships - BIF PhD fellowships 2018

The Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds (BIF) invites applications for the PhD Fellowships. Upcoming deadline is June 1, 2017. The Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds (BIF) awards PhD fellowships to European citizens working in Europe or overseas, and to non-European citizens pursuing their PhD project in Europe. The applicant's first university degree qualifying for a profession (e.g. BSc, Diploma, Final State Examination) must not have been achieved more than 4 years ago.

The basic monthly stipend for all fellows amounts to € 1,550. In some countries a country-related premium (max. € 1,700) is added together with € 150 per month to cover minor project-related costs and premiums for personal insurance and a spouse allowance and/or child care allowance.

The Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds is a public foundation - an independent, not-for-profit institution for the exclusive and direct promotion of basic research in biomedicine. It supports researchers and projects aimed to experimentally elucidate basic phenomena of human life and pays particular attention to the promotion of junior scientists.
