Diabetes - extended deadline EFSD/Sanofi Programme

The European Foundation for the Study of Diabetes (EFSD) has extended the submission date for its EFSD/Sanofi Programme for Collaborative Clinical Diabetes Research between European and Non-European Countries from October 15 to November 15, 2013. EFSD and Sanofi have established this partnership to initiate and strengthen the collaboration between European clinical research and researchers in rapidly developing countries where clinical research is approaching the standard of international excellence which would particularly benefit from the collaboration with and access to the leading research institutes in Europe. Research funding is up to € 100,000.

The other upcoming Request for Applications (RFAs) are:
• EFSD/Sanofi European Research Programme: Innovative Approaches for the Treatment of Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes: October 15, 2013;
• EFSD European Diabetes Research Programme in Cellular Plasticity Underlying the Pathophysiology of Type 2 Diabetes supported by an educational grant from AstraZeneca/Bristol-Myers Squibb: November 1, 2013;
• EFSD Clinical Diabetes Research Programme in Macrovascular Complications of Diabetes supported by an educational grant from AstraZeneca/Bristol-Myers Squibb: November 1, 2013; 
• EFSD European Diabetes Research Programme in Patient Education supported by an educational grant from Astra Zeneca/Bristol-Myers Squibb: January 15, 2014;
• Available throughout the year: Albert Renold Travel Fellowships supported by Merck Sharp & Dohme (MSD).
